St. Patrick's Day Parade 2009
Prizes
for floats were awarded as follows:
1st Prize €100 Rosenallis N.S. for their "Going Green" Theme,
2nd Prize €75 to "The Showband Show",
3rd Prize to The Rosenallis Gun Club.
Prize €50 and a special award for "The Most Outrageous Float" €50
went to The Ballyroan Vintage Club Float Rodge & Podge and Father
Jack.
Thank you to Fr. T. Walshe, Rev. O. Donoghue, Rev. B. Olmstead, Councillor David Goodwin, Councillor Pat Bowe, Councillor Seamus McDonald, Joe Hyland for providing the viewing stand, to Anne Marie Kelly from Laois County Council are providing material on the Environment, to the Community Centre Committee, Jonathan Bowe for providing new sound system, Michelle Bowe for Decorating the hall.
The Gardai for directing traffic, all the people who provided floats, vehicles and great entertainment on the day, to David Kinsella and group for providing music and donating their prize back to the Rosenallis Development Association, to Zona Keating Queen of the Mountain who represented the Festival of the Mountain, Ned Farrell, Noel Conroy, John Lynch for filming the parade. Declan Cuddy of Cuddy Kitchens, Sean Wisely and Seamus McDonald who sponsored and organised the vintage entries in the parade.
To everyone who helped out on the day in anyway but especially to a
wonderful committee who every year come together to ensure that the
St. Patrick's Day Parade is a success, without you it would not be
possible.
